"Failure to train remote modem at 2400 bps or minimum speed; too many attempts to dial"

Updated over a year ago

Q: What does "Failure to train remote modem at 2400 bps or minimum speed; too many attempts to dial" fax error mean?

A: This error means that we were unable to train up the fax call with the receiving equipment to establish the initial fax call. Something to keep in mind is that failed faxes are retried 3 times before the final failure status is reported to you. Even if some pages from the fax went through, the receiving equipment stopped communicating partway through the fax and the connection could not be reestablished after 3 tries.

Please provide the fax number you are trying to fax to Gardiant support when you get this error and we will work with the fax provider to see if there are any adjustments that can be done for the fax to get sent successfully.
