Q: What does “too many attempts to dial” mean on a fax failure? How many attempts are made before it gives up?
A: By default we try to send the fax 3 times. If there is something else wrong, we dial back. If the subsequent 2 attempts keep encountering something wrong, the final failure status will be displayed.
Example of failure messages:
“Busy signal detected; too many attempts to dial”
“No carrier detected; too many attempts to dial”
